how to add a VPN to your TV with tv.happ.su

what goes in the UID and Data fields, where to get the link and what to do if the site shows an error

Typing a long link with a remote is slow and easy to get wrong. So Happ on a TV shows a short code, and you paste the link from your phone on the tv.happ.su site. The TV picks it up by itself.

what you need

  • Happ on the TV. On Android TV and Google TV it comes from Google Play. On Apple TV it’s Happ for TV from the App Store.
  • A subscription link. In vverh, it’s in the app on your phone: “connect” → your TV → Happ → “get a link for TV”. The TV gets its own slot and its own link.

steps

  1. Open Happ on the TV. It shows a short code.
  2. Copy the subscription link on your phone.
  3. Open tv.happ.su on your phone. The language switch is in the top right corner.
  4. Enter the code from the TV screen in the UID field.
  5. Paste the link in the Data field.
  6. Press Send data. The site replies “Data saved successfully!”.
  7. Look at the TV. The subscription appears in Happ by itself. Pick a server with the remote and connect.
tipYou can also open the site on a computer if that’s where your link is. The code still comes from the TV screen.

if it didn’t work

the site says “An error occurred while saving data”

Check the code against the TV screen and send it again. If the code on the screen has changed, enter the new one. Still no luck: close Happ on the TV, open it again and repeat the steps.

the data was saved, but the TV shows nothing

Close and reopen Happ on the TV. If the subscription still isn’t there, check that you pasted the whole link and send it again.

there’s no code on the TV

Update Happ and open it again. If the code still doesn’t appear, there are other ways, covered in a VPN on your TV.

the site won’t open

Try another browser or open the site over mobile data.

the subscription appeared, but nothing loads

Pick another server. If that doesn’t help, go through the list in what to do if your VPN isn’t working.

is it OK to enter the link on this site

The site needs the link to pass it to your TV. It’s your personal key, so enter it only on tv.happ.su, checking the address first, and don’t share it: one link is meant for one device. If someone else has seen it, contact support.
